Banks Rum available in Germany since October 1st 2010

Banks Rum is a homage to Joseph Banks a botanist and natural scientist from England who travelled the world as a famous discoverer. Following his routes a team of  blenders travelled around the world to create a truly unique rum that combines the individual flavour profiles of the worlds best rums.

The result is Banks 5 Island Rum, a white, charcoal-filtered Rum, made from six different aged rums from five islands, all chosen and carefully blended by Masterblender Arnaud de Trabuc.

The different backgrounds of the chosen rums from Trinidad, Jamaica, Guyana, Barbados and Java are what makes Banks 5 Island Rum so unique. Its body receives Banks in Trinidad. Sweetness and hints of spice are gathered in Guyana, whilst the golden rums from Barbados tie everything together. Its full-bodied fruitiness is gained in Jamaica through heavy and long-aged complex rums in the blend. The rums of Java, once the dutch "island of spices" are responsible for the "funk" in Banks that makes it stand out from all other white rums.
